No questionnaire that takes an evening. You can be in the deck before your download finishes on whatever you were going to play tonight.

Build your Player Card
Your profile is a card, and you choose how it is drawn. Photos, a bio, and the details that actually decide things: what you play, what you want, your pets, your allergies, how you eat, what you believe.

Say what you are playing
Log tonight's game, how long you have got, and which launcher you are on. It lands on your card. It also expires on its own, so your profile never claims a game you finished back in March.

Meet your Player 2
One person at a time in the Draw, bio in front of you before you decide. Match, talk, and when it turns into something, elevate it. Player 2 becomes one mailbox with one person in it, and the app will not let it become two.
The whole point
Player 2 holds one person
Every other dating app is built never to finish. There is always another deck, another queue, another thread you left on read. Nothing ever closes, because a closed account is a lapsed subscription.
Plyr2 closes. Elevate a match and Player 2 becomes theirs: one mailbox, one person, one date you count from. While that stands, neither of you can elevate anybody else. The server refuses it. It is not a promise the two of you have to keep on your own at two in the morning.
There are no rosters on Plyr2. No stable, no rotation, no ranked list of people you are keeping warm in case the first one does not work out. One person, and a tab that spends the rest of its time on the two of you instead of on the next match.
Monogamy is not for everybody and this app does not pretend otherwise. Player 3 is the open and poly deck, it is a separate pool, and turning it on is a decision you make on purpose.

Nobody else has your card
Every profile on Plyr2 is a trading card. You pick the design it is printed on, the frame around it, the ink the text is set in, the art behind it and the background it sits on. Two people with the same favourite game still end up with cards that look nothing alike.

93 interests, 30 languages, 7 kinds of thing you might be looking for, and fields for pets, allergies, diet, career, schooling, height and what you believe. Fill in what you want. Skip the rest.

A real game catalogue
Now Playing autocompletes against a live catalogue, not a text box. Tag the launcher you are on, set how long you have got, and keep a log of what you have been playing lately.

Filters that only narrow your deck
Advanced filters run one way. They change who you see and they never change who sees you. Being picky is not something you get to buy at somebody else's expense.

Extras for couples, not paywalls
Anniversary countdowns and a recap of what the Love Bank adds up to. One of you subscribes and you both get it, and a free couple's Love Bank and shop are exactly the screens they always were.

Every photo screened first
Photos go through automated moderation before anybody sees them, and the location data baked into the file is stripped on the way in. A holiday snap should not publish your home address.

Blocking that actually blocks
Instant, silent and mutual. They are not told, you both vanish from each other's decks, and you never need a reason. Report a person, a conversation or a photo and it gets looked at within 24 hours.
The Plyr2 Rule
No boosting. Ever.
Every other dating app sells visibility. Pay up, or fewer people see you. We do not sell that, because we did not build it. Make a profile and everyone you could possibly match with sees it. No exceptions, no upsell, not even for us.
Ads pay for the free tier. Plyr2 Plus turns them off and adds filters for your own deck. Neither one moves you up a queue, because there is no queue.

Questions people actually ask
Is it free?
Yes. Making a profile, being in the deck, matching, chatting and the whole Love Bank are free, and ads pay for it. Plyr2 Plus removes the ads and adds filters that narrow your own deck. Nothing you can buy changes who sees you.
Do I have to download anything?
No. Plyr2 runs in any browser on any phone or laptop. If you would rather have it as an app, the iOS beta is on TestFlight. Android is on the way, and the web version is the app until it lands.
Do I have to be a gamer?
It helps, but the profile goes a lot wider than games. Plenty of people are here because they want somebody who understands a Saturday that disappears into a co-op campaign, not because they need a raid partner.
What happens when I match with someone?
You get a conversation. If it turns into something, either of you can elevate it, and Player 2 becomes theirs alone: one mailbox, one person, a Love Bank, a shop the two of you write, and a date you count from.
Can I have more than one Player 2?
No, and it is not on the honour system. One active Player 2 per person, checked on the server, and an attempt to elevate a second one is refused for both of you. That is the app doing the work instead of leaving it to whichever of you is more tired. If monogamy is not what you are after, Player 3 is the open and poly deck, and it is separate and opt-in.
What do you do with my data?
Less than you would expect, and you can read the whole policy before you sign up. Precise location is optional. Photo metadata is stripped. The app itself runs no analytics at all, because on a dating app the screen you are looking at is the sensitive part and that is not something to hand to a third party. You can export everything you have given us, withdraw consent, or delete the account outright, from inside the app.
